20-21 Vision Health Research Network Virtual Meetings

COVID-19 UPDATES: The 25e VHRN Annual Meeting unable to be held face-to-face in June 2020, the Netwrok offers a series of virtual meetings that will take place over a period of 6 months. There will be four (4) meetings:

  • Friday, December 4 2020

  • Friday, January 29 2021 

  • Friday, March 26 2021

  • Friday, May 21 2021

All meetings will take place between 9h00 AM and 12:15 PM (Eastern Standard Time (EST)).


  • Submission for scientific abstract: November 6, 2020, 11h30 PM

  • Registration are open until Monday, before the meeting (mandatory and free)




No need to register for each meeting if you have already done so for the first time. An email will be sent to all registered participants prior to the meeting for connection details.

All researchers and research collaborators, clinicians / fundamentalists, teachers, students, assistants and technicians involved in vision research in Quebec are invited to actively participate in this event. This meeting will give you the opportunity to discover what is happening in vision health research in Quebec. It is a unique and privileged opportunity to meet colleagues from diverse backgrounds and Quebec institutions, to share your knowledge and « networking ».


General information

Each half-day will start with a conference and will be presented by a guest speaker from each VHRN axis. The conference will be followed by two periodes of student presentations. Sessions 1, 3, 5 and 7 will be devoted to oral presentations and Sessions 2, 4, 6 and 8, for posters presentation. This virtual format will allow up to 24 oral presentations (8 min + 2 min question period) and up to 104 posters (6 min, including questions + interactions with the evaluators) in total over 4 meetings. Prizes will be awarded to the best oral and posters presentations. Student presentations (combined axes) will be scheduled according to the date preferences of the presenters. We will try to respect your choices (type of presentation and day).

Virtual meetings will be accredited by the Accreditation Office of the University of Montreal for Quebec physicians. An evaluation form will be sent to each participant and once completed and sent to the VHRN, it will be possible to receive your credits.
