The bionic eye soon in Quebec
Dr. Flavio Rezende, VHRN clinician-researcher member, will soon install the Argus® II Retinal Prosthesis System to treat people suffering from severe to profound retinis pigmentosa, a type of retinal degeneration. Designed and manufactured by the American company SecondSight, Argus® II is the first « bionic eye » designed to treat blindness due to retinal degeneration.
