Fiscal Year 2025-2026
March 1, 2025* (SUMMER 2025): training starting between May 1 and August 31, 2025
July 1, 2025* (FALL 2025): training starting between September 1 and December 31, 2025
November 1, 2025* (WINTER 2026): training starting between January 1 and April 31, 2026
*If these dates fall on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, candidates will have until Monday at 11:59 PM to submit their application to the VSRN.
Objective
The aim of this initiative is to provide financial support to student members (college students, graduate students, and postdoctoral interns) of the Vision Sciences Research Network (RRSV) for SHORT-TERM TRAINING or SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH INITIATION INTERNSHIPS. Intersectoral applications will be prioritized.
In the « SHORT-TERM TRAINING » category, the following activities will be eligible:
- training on sophisticated equipment
- specialized courses
- Summer School (excluding the RRSV Summer School)
- stay in a laboratory as part of an existing or new collaboration
The duration for this category must be a minimum of 5 days.
In the « SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH INITIATION INTERNSHIP » category, the following activities will be eligible:
- summer internship
- initiation internship
The duration for this category must be a minimum of 3 months.

Scholarship Amount: Up to a maximum of $3,000 per recipient (with supporting expense report)
