Goalball Tournament
On Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Collège André Grasset, VHRN student member Adam Hocini is organizing a major goalball tournament, a sport adapted for visually impaired children. The aim of the event is to enable sighted children to play alongside visually impaired children, promoting inclusion, love and self-fulfillment.
In the afternoon, a number of speakers, including top-level goalball athletes, one of his colleagues in medicine who is visually impaired, and healthcare professionals working in the field of low vision, such as Dr. Nicole Robillard (CHUM), an ophthalmologist specializing in low vision, will present lectures. These presentations will be both informative and moving.
Adam Hocini is a junior medical extern at the University of Montreal. He has just completed a project under the co-direction of Drs Marie-Josée Aubin (CHUM) and Laurence Jaworski (HMR) on ocular syphilis.
