VHRN Thesis - MEI
During spring 2021, the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation (MEI) – Québec launched a consultation process leading to the development of the next Stratégie québécoise de la recherche et de l’innovation (SQRI) 2022. This consultation will allow to determine the best practices, the innovative solutions and the most promising avenues with a view to promoting the creation of wealth in Quebec from research and innovation activities. This strategy is very important for the support and development of research in our province. It is through it, among other things, that additional investments are obtained, in particular for the FRQ. The mobilization of all Quebec stakeholders in the research and innovation community is essential for the MEI.
Our scientific director of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS), Dr. Carole Jabet, therefore invited all the thematic networks to present a thesis in order to promote research and its inseparable link with the innovation process.
It is therefore in this perspective that the VHRN’s board of directors came forward and submitted a document last May thus presenting our challenges and our recommendations in the field of vision health research to the Minister of the Economy and Innovation, Mr. Pierre Fitzgibbon, constituting the first step of the consultation process.
