25th Annual Meeting of the Vision Health Research Network
The 25th Annual Meeting on November 9, 2022, held at the Amphitheatre Pierre-Péladeau of the CHUM in Montreal, was a great success thanks to the participation of more than 210 students, post-doctoral fellows, researchers, physicians, specialists, etc.
In total, more than 105 presentations (oral and poster) took place throughout the day.

The Network took the opportunity to recognize the scientific career and involvement of three VHRN researchers. Dr. Christian Salesse was honoured by Dr. Stéphanie Proulx form Université Laval, Dr. Christian Casanova was honoured by Dr. Jean-François Bouchard from the École d’optométrie – University of Montreal School and Dr. Pierre Lachapelle was honoured by the VHRN Director, Dr. Michel Cayouette and Dr. Jacqueline Orquin. Dr. Lachapelle was also named « VHRN Emeritus Member ».
We were honored to attend the presentation of our keynote speaker, Dr. Michele Rucci from the University of Rochester (New York, USA) entitled « Seeing space through time ». Dr. Rucci is a leading researcher in the field of computational mechanisms of visual function and cognitive neuroscience. He has implemented novel head-eye tracking systems and the design of efficient computer vision systems.
At the end of the day, the Network awarded 14 certificates and scholarships to the best student oral and poster presentations.

All presenters who wish to do so will be shortly invited to participate in the special edition of the Vision Journal in conjunction with the 25th Annual Meeting. As presented at the meeting, all members of the RRSV will receive a 50% discount on the cost of publication for an original or review article.
